In three years, Troldtekt has reduced its carbon footprint per square metre of acoustic panels produced by 6.9 per cent. This is shown by data in Troldtekt’s CSR report for 2023. The reduction has occurred in scope 3, which mainly covers cement from Aalborg Portland. Part of the explanation is due to the cement type FUTURECEM™.

The Danish manufacturer of Troldtekt® acoustic panels is preparing to enhance its sustainability work further and take the next step towards circular products. The combination of FUTURECEM™, a new cement type developed by Aalborg Portland, and the transition to renewable energy in its own production now enables Troldtekt to supply acoustic panels with a reduced carbon footprint. In addition, after switching to a new paint recipe across its entire product range, Troldtekt advanced to the best Cradle to Cradle category in material health in 2021.
