For the second year in a row, Troldtekt A/S has been honoured with the prestigious ESG Transparency Award for its ESG report. Troldtekt’s CEO Michael Heeager Nystrup is delighted:

"Transparency in our ESG work is both a choice and a promise. We work hard to ensure that our ESG report is concrete and useful for customers, partners and stakeholders. This year’s recognition confirms that we are making progress. Not only in terms of our results, but also in our ability to document progress and challenges," he says.

Troldtekt officially received the award for its 2024 report at the ESG Summit on 26 November in Bonn.

Top Level Results

The ESG Transparency Award evaluates companies’ reports in five categories. In Troldtekt's case, the evaluation particularly highlights management commitment, clear methodology and balanced reporting of progress and challenges.

Troldtekt achieved the following scores, which together place the company in the top Award category, Excellence Class:

Governance

76%

Transparency

87%

Regulatory landscape/compliance

64%

Environmental

69%

Social

62%

Total score

76.33%

"E, S and G must be present in every corner of Troldtekt, and I think we've succeed in this. That’s why this award is also a big pat on the back for all our dedicated employees who put our sustainability initiatives into practice every day," says Michael Heeager Nystrup.

Report reflects EU requirements

The categories and criteria of the ESG Transparency Award reflect the increasing requirements of the EU CSRD Directive and the new European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). Here, companies are expected to provide more coherent, decision-relevant and documented ESG information.

Troldtekt complies with EU regulations through its parent company, Kingspan Group, but has also chosen to base its own report on the overarching ESRS standards.

"At Troldtekt, we've been implementing sustainability initiatives long before they became a requirement. For more than a decade, the principles of the Cradle to Cradle design concept have served as our strategic framework and holistic approach to sustainability. The concept comes with strict documentation requirements and a core premise that we continuously improve. This should also be reflected in our reporting," says Michael Heeager Nystrup.
