Troldtekt and ESG reporting
At Troldtekt, we base our ESG reporting on the EU’s European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). The standards are part of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

As part of Troldtekt's commitment to the UN Global Compact, we report annually on the progress of our ESG activities.
This Communication on Progress (CoP) is now conducted as an online questionnaire with questions in the main areas of the Global Compact: Governance, human rights, labour rights, the environment and anti-corruption. Among other things, the questionnaire should make it easier for companies to more easily identify challenges and set targets within their work on corporate social responsibility.
Every year at Troldtekt we fill out the new CoP form, and although it is now voluntary for companies under the UN Global Compact to publish an ESG report, we have chosen to continue publishing our report in order to show transparency about our work. The annual ESG reports (CSR reports up to 2023) are a suitable format for providing nuanced and deeper insight into our ESG efforts, both to the outside world and to our own employees.
Structure of our ESG reports
The European Commission has adopted a total of ten standards for reporting in the areas of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG). There are also two interdisciplinary standards.
At Troldtekt, we comply with EU regulations through our parent company Kingspan Group's reporting.
However, in our own report, we have also chosen to use the 12 overarching standards as a starting point but without reporting according to the EU's specific requirements in each standard.
Our ESG report is thus divided into the four sections the EU has divided the ESRS standards into:
- General
- Environment
- Social
- Governance
Troldtekt honoured for transparent ESG report
In 2024, Troldtekt was honoured in the best class – Excellence Class – at the ESG Transparency Awards. We received the award on the basis of our ESG report for 2023. The German consultancy firm EUPD Research is behind the award.
