Troldtekt is a signatory to the UN Global Compact
Since 2010, Troldtekt has been part of the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate social responsibility initiative. By joining, we are committed to complying with the UN’s ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour rights, the environment and anti-corruption.

In 2000, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan launched a new set of guidelines for corporate social responsibility. The initiative, called the UN Global Compact, is voluntary for companies to join.
Troldtekt joined in 2010, thereby committing ourselves to adhering to ten fundamental principles within four key areas:
> human rights
> labour rights
> the environment
> anti-corruption
According to Global Compact Network Denmark, over 25,000 companies and organisations worldwide have joined the UN Global Compact, including more than 650 in Denmark (figures from 2025).
We document our progress annually
As a participating company, we report on our progress annually with what is called a Communication on Progress (CoP). In practice, this is an online declaration in which we answer questions regarding the four main areas of the UN Global Compact. Our annual completion of the CoP also reaffirms our commitment to the initiative and compliance with the ten principles.
Among other things, the online declaration and its questions are intended to make it easier for affiliated companies to identify challenges and set goals within the area of corporate social responsibility.
In addition to the separate CoP, Troldtekt publishes an annual ESG report (formerly CSR reports), in which we go into more detail about our work and results in the area of corporate social responsibility. The purpose of the report is to be transparent and specific.
The principles in practice
You can read about the ten principles of the UN Global Compact in their entirety on the UN Global Compact website.
At Troldtekt, we have a number of policies that describe how we comply with the principles in practice – and how we require our suppliers to comply with them, too. Furthermore, several of the principles are in line with the Cradle to Cradle design concept, which has been a strategic framework for Troldtekt’s work with sustainability initiatives in both our business and products since 2012.
Here you can see how we work with each of the four main areas of the UN Global Compact:
Human rights
Troldtekt’s Supplier Policy states that we support the protection of human rights as stated in the International Bill of Human Rights. Here we also elaborate on how our suppliers are obliged to prevent any form of child labour and slavery.
Troldtekt has been part of the global Kingspan Group since 2022, and we comply with Kingspan’s Human Rights Policy, which concerns all employees’ interaction with colleagues, consumers, society, suppliers and other business partners.
Labour rights
Employee conditions are anchored in Troldtekt's personnel policy, in our works council (SU) and in our health and safety committee (AMO). This applies to everything from pay and working hours to conditions for sick leave.
Furthermore, “respect for the safety and wellbeing of colleagues” is a core principle of Kingspan’s Code of Conduct.
Our supplier policy also sets requirements for suppliers’ treatment of their employees in areas such as health, safety, equality and the general working environment.
Environment
Working with environmental initiatives is a key focus of the Cradle to Cradle concept. The entire range of Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool products (in natural and standard colours) are Cradle to Cradle Certified® at gold level. The certification is an international type I certification that follows the principles and procedures defined in ISO 14020 and ISO 14024. The certification involves third-party verification.
In addition, one of the core principles of Kingspan’s Code of Conduct is “maintaining our commitment to a more sustainable future”. In practice, Kingspan and the Group’s companies live up to this commitment through a series of initiatives under the Planet Passionate sustainability programme, which has ambitious targets in terms of carbon emissions, energy, circularity and water.
Finally, our supplier policy requires suppliers to comply with international environmental standards in line with ISO14001, and to work with waste management, resource conservation and emission reduction.
Anti-corruption
At Troldtekt, we have zero tolerance for fraud, bribery and corruption in any form. We follow the guidelines in Kingspan’s Anti-Fraud, Bribery & Corruption Policy.
The policy specifies that neither employees nor business partners may offer or receive benefits with a view to obtaining unfair advantages – either commercially or personally.
