About Troldtekt baffles
An effective and flexible solution
In large spaces, a full acoustic ceiling is not always practical – or visually desirable. Troldtekt baffles offer a refined alternative. Suspended individually from the ceiling structure, the baffles reduce reverberation time and improve speech clarity – either as a stand-alone open-ceiling solution or a supplement to existing wall or ceiling absorbers.
Each baffle is made from two 15 mm Troldtekt panels joined to form a 30 mm vertical element. Mounted vertically, the baffles absorb sound on both sides, achieving a weighted sound absorption coefficient of up to αw = 0.55.
A clean, visible aluminium top profile ensures simple and secure installation. Depending on the desired aesthetic, baffles can be mounted directly to the ceiling or suspended by wires using standard, off-the-shelf components.
Beyond acoustics, the open-ceiling approach also helps maintain a stable thermal indoor climate by allowing airflow to and from the exposed soffit and supporting air mixing and direction.
